Gainward GeForce® GT240 Cards‐ Born to be wild!!
| | | | | Taipei, November 17th, 2009 | Today is another unusual day at Gainward. The mood is on and excitement at the top! Today is GT240’s day!! Gainward is proud to announce its new GT240 series with not less than four models!! From the middle‐end to the middle high‐end, Gainward has considered everyone’s needs and budgets. If you can’t find it here, you won’t find it anywhere. |
| | Gainward GeForce® GT240 “D3” models: |
|
| Two models come equipped with DDR3 memory. The first one is the Gainward GeForce® GT240 512MB GDDR3. Gainward has made a robust card with strong performances for the middle‐end segment. Very affordable, this card will satisfy all your needs. From the variety of outputs to the special fan design, Gainward has once again made excellence based on latest Nvidia 40 nanometer GPU. All is here for a perfect recipe: performances, silence, connectivity and good pricing. The GT240 will let you embrace all Nvidia latest technologies for your upmost experience. | |
| | | The second model is the Gainward GeForce® GT240 1024MB DDR3. This second card has all the benefits from its little sister except for the memory type and capacity. For the more demanding users, this model will surely fulfill your expectations as well. Its large memory capacity will allow better fluidity into games as well as fast loading time for heavy textures. Gainward has chosen to use DDR3 memory type to ensure good affordability while keeping strong performances running at high resolutions. |
| |
| | | | Gainward GeForce® GT240 “D5” models: |
|
| Nowadays, GDDR5 is synonym of powerful graphics. Indeed, the GDDR5 memory is the fastest memory type available to the market as of today. The benefits of it are huge. The impact of the memory type on the graphic card performances is quite important. Memory is benchmarked by its bandwidth or, in other words, its capacity to transfer large amount of data on a single clock signal. In that manner, GDDR5 memory is twice as fast as GDDR3 memory and therefore can transfer double the amount of data on a single clock signal giving a serious boost to the card performances. |
| Gainward is launching two GDDR5 cards: The Gainward GeForce® GT240 512MB GDDR5 and the Gainward GeForce® GT240 1024MB GDDR5. The only difference between both models is the memory capacity. These two models are equipped with a larger heat sink and an 8cm fan for better heat dissipation. Average fan size is 7cm or below. A larger fan results in lowering the noise and making your computer experience more comfortable. |
